From November 11 to 16, four men’s and four women’s curling teams will compete to determine who will represent Team USA at the Olympic Qualification Event for the 2026 Winter Games in Milano Cortina.
The trials will take place at the Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This event is crucial as it decides the U.S. representatives for the Olympic Qualification Event 2025, which offers the final Olympic quotas for Milano Cortina 2026.
The victorious teams in Sioux Falls will advance to the Olympic Qualification Event in Kelowna, Canada. There, they will compete for the final two quota spots in their respective men’s and women’s competitions.
If the U.S. teams fail to claim a quota during that event, they will not participate in the respective curling events at Milano Cortina.
"To date, the nation has had teams compete in every Olympic tournament since the sport’s inclusion in 1998, with the men winning bronze at Turin 2006 and gold at PyeongChang 2018."
The trials represent a critical opportunity for U.S. curling teams to maintain their historic presence at the Winter Olympics.
The upcoming trials in Sioux Falls are pivotal for Team USA to secure Olympic quotas and continue their unbroken Olympic curling legacy since 1998.
