Government Rewrites History of January 6
Two federal prosecutors have been placed on leave by the Justice Department, and references to the January 6 Capitol event have been removed from court filings (pressdemocrat.com).
This suggests the government is treating the event as if it never happened. Several countries that have rewritten or forgotten their histories include Russia, Hungary, China, and Germany.
“So, according to our own government, the event never happened.”
The question remains: What else might the Justice Department want us to forget? For the author, it is the phrase “land of the free and home of the brave.” When this ideal is discarded, what comes next?
Santa Rosa Schools Audit Not the Solution
Calls for another audit of the Santa Rosa City Schools accounts have been made by teachers and staff (“Teachers union rallies for outside audit,” Nov.). However, audits only verify proper accounting of spending and balances; they do not assess whether spending is necessary or effective.
Audits are time-consuming and costly, resources the district and its employees lack. Past audits of the district's finances have consistently returned nearly perfect results.
Through the Public Records Act, detailed financial data was obtained, showing careful scrutiny of the numbers.
