The Lee County Clerk & Comptroller office's semi-annual shredding event, The Big Shred, is returning to Cape Coral on Saturday, Nov.
The event, hosted by Clerk Kevin Karnes, will take place at the Manning Government Complex, 1039 SE 9th Place, and offers a free and convenient way to securely dispose of confidential records.
"We created the big shred as a way to help our community members keep their personal information at home safe,”
Past events have been held in Estero, Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres, and Fort Myers, with over 25,200 pounds of confidential documents safely shredded and disposed of since the event started in 2023.
