Power Outage in Burlington and Sedro-Woolley
A car crash on Saturday morning caused heavy damage to transformers, leading to a power outage in Burlington and Sedro-Woolley.
According to Puget Sound Energy, over 5,400 customers were initially without power, but power has been mostly restored as of Saturday afternoon.
- More than 1,000 customers in Sedro-Woolley were still without power as of 1 p.m.
- The outage also affected traffic lights, with some intersections having battery-powered lights and others not.
The car crash likely led to the large power outage, according to Sedro-Woolley police.
Power is estimated to be restored to the remaining customers around 2:30 p.m.
