Helly Hansen Odin Everdown Hooded Jacket Review

Testing Helly Hansen’s lightweight Everdown jacket for warmth, weather resistance, and packability in the mountains.

The Helly Hansen Odin Everdown Hooded Jacket is comparable to synthetic insulated jackets like the Rab Xenon and the Keela Solo, but it's filled with down, making it lighter, more breathable, and warmer.

During testing in stormy mountain sessions, including Storm Amy, and a campout on Carnedd Llewelyn, the jacket proved to be very snug with an impressive warmth-to-weight ratio.

Note that the jacket has a short cut at the hem, which may have benefits but might not suit everyone's taste.

The Helly Hansen Odin Everdown Hooded Jacket reminds me of many synthetic insulated jackets I’ve tried in the past.
