The DP World Tour Championship marks the conclusion of the 2025 season before the 2026 campaign begins in two weeks with the BMW Australian PGA Championship. This prestigious event serves as the final act in the Rolex Series and is the second Playoff tournament following the Abu Dhabi Championship.
Held at the Earth Course, Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai, the Championship hosts the top 50 players from the season’s standings. It often decides the winner of the Race to Dubai, a title Rory McIlroy is chasing for the fourth consecutive year.
The Earth Course, designed by Greg Norman, has been the event’s home since its debut 16 years ago when the DP World Tour introduced its Race to Dubai format, inspired by the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup. The par-72 course stretches 7,706 yards and recorded a stroke index of 71.35 in 2024.
The layout is a classic desert-style track with wide fairways and large, undulating greens surrounded by numerous run-off areas. Water hazards influence play on the 6th, 14th, and the final three holes, ensuring a dramatic finish.
“The Earth Course offers a thrilling finish and sets the stage for one of the season’s most exciting conclusions.”
The 2025 DP World Tour Championship in Dubai delivers a dramatic end to the golf season, featuring elite players battling on Greg Norman’s challenging desert masterpiece.
