MP Criticizes Cuts to Youth Services
A national celebration of youth work will take place this week, highlighting the importance of support for young people.
Halesowen MP Alex Ballinger has spoken out against cuts to youth services, stating that they are "stripping the support our young people need."
“There are many fantastic youth groups in Halesowen, and I’ve visited organisations like the Phase Trust that give young people a safe space to thrive and grow.
Mr. Ballinger expressed his appreciation for the staff and volunteers leading these groups and criticized the Conservative-led Dudley Council for not valuing youth services.
“It is a real shame that Conservative-led Dudley Council does not value youth services and continues to close youth centres and cut back on youth workers, stripping the support our young people need.
