Council Agrees to Additional Payment for RAAC Private Homeowners
Aberdeen City Council has agreed in principle to make an additional payment to private RAAC homeowners in Aberdeen.
This payment reflects the impact RAAC has had on the market value of their property, should they wish to sell their property to the Council on a voluntary basis.
- £44,000 for a four-bedroomed property
- £37,000 for a three-bedroomed property
- £20,000 for a one-bedroomed property
The offer is subject to compliance with the Council’s statutory duties and may be applied retrospectively to homeowners who have already agreed terms.
The agreement was made at a reconvened Special Meeting at Aberdeen City Council on 28 October 2025.
