Hezbollah Antitank Commander Eliminated

The IDF has confirmed the elimination of Zayn al-Abidin Hussein Fatouni, a commander in the antitank unit of Hezbollah's Radwan Force.

Fatouni was killed in Jibchit, southern Lebanon, in an operation conducted by the IDF. According to a statement,

"Earlier today, the IDF struck in the area of Jibchit in southern Lebanon, and eliminated the terrorist Zayn al-Abidin Hussein Fatouni, a commander in the antitank unit of the Radwan Force Battalion of the Hezbollah terror organization."

The IDF noted that Fatouni was recently involved in efforts to reestablish Hezbollah's terrorist infrastructure in southern Lebanon, which

"constituted a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon."

The IDF stated that they

"will continue to operate in order to remove any threat posed to the State of Israel."
