West Yorkshire Police confirmed that prisoners Mark Fellows, 45, Lee Newell, 56, and David Taylor, 63, have been charged with the murder of Kyle Bevan, 33, at HMP Wakefield.
On November 7, Mark Fellows, David Taylor, and Lee Newell appeared separately before Leeds Magistrates' Court via video link from Havertop Police Station. They faced charges for the murder of Kyle Bevan, who was killed on November 5 at HMP Wakefield.
During the brief one-minute hearings, all three defendants wore grey prison-issued sweatpants and tops and were accompanied by police officers.
"You are charged with one allegation of murder. That is so serious I therefore have to send you to Leeds Crown Court. The next hearing will be a plea and trial preparation hearing. I am not able to consider bail and so you will be remanded into custody." – District Judge Charlotte Holland
All three cases were sent to Leeds Crown Court with the next hearing scheduled for November 10.
