Two people passed away at 7:40 a.m. Wednesday when two cars slammed into each other on the major Highway 401. Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Five more passengers suffered minor injuries. Thick road debris covered the eastbound lanes. Cleanup crews worked fast to remove rubble. Authorities shut down that stretch of road. Investigators finished their review by around 11 a.m..
