Royal Enfield has introduced the scrambler-style Flying Flea S6, adding to its electric line-up.
Following the unveiling of the road-oriented Flying Flea C6 at EICMA last year, the new S6 brings the same electric technology to a tougher, dual-purpose package.
The Flying Flea S6 is aimed at both urban and light off-road riding, sitting within Royal Enfield's Flying Flea city+ division, which develops lightweight electric bikes for urban riders.
The Flying Flea name traces back to a lightweight Royal Enfield motorcycle developed during the Second World War, designed to be dropped by parachute for military dispatch riders.
The new models revive that historic name for a new generation of bikes built with a similar focus on simplicity and light weight.
The latest S6 is powered by a high-torque motor housed within a finned magnesium battery case that aids cooling and reduces weight.
