Yamaha YZF-R7 Upgraded for 2026
The Yamaha YZF-R7 middleweight Supersport has been significantly upgraded for 2026 with new technology, revised chassis geometry, and more refined ergonomics.
Four variants will be available in Australia from June 2026, including standard and 70th Anniversary editions in both LAMS and High Output specifications.

The big news for 2026 is the addition of Yamaha’s R1-derived six-axis IMU, enabling a range of electronic rider assists, including:
- Lean-sensitive traction control
- Slide control
- Lift control
- Brake control
- Launch control
These features are configurable through Yamaha Ride Control (YRC).
