General Atomics Aeronautical Systems is now flying two examples of its YFQ-42A prototype fighter.
- The second aircraft is conducting flight testing under the US Air Force's Collaborative Combat Aircraft programme.
- Photos released by General Atomics show two fully capable YFQ-42As on the flight line.
- The tail number of the second jet in flight is 004, while the inaugural sortie in August was made by YFQ-42A tail number 002.
General Atomics confirmed the flight of two prototype fighters in response to an inquiry from FlightGlobal on 4 November.
