Ørsted and Apollo Partner on Hornsea 3 Offshore Wind Farm
Apollo Infrastructure is investing $6.5bn to gain a 50% stake in Ørsted's Hornsea 3 UK offshore wind farm project.
The joint venture with Ørsted will help fund the project in the North Sea. Ørsted will continue to construct the wind farm and provide long-term operations and maintenance services.
- Location: 160km off the Yorkshire coast in Northern England
- Capacity: 2.9GW, making it the world's largest offshore wind project
- Power generation: enough to power more than 3m UK homes
