Medieval Tower Collapse in Rome
A medieval tower near the Roman Forum has partially collapsed during renovation work, severely injuring a worker and trapping another.
According to authorities, hundreds of tourists witnessed the rescue attempt as firefighters used a mobile ladder to reach the trapped worker at the Torre dei Conti.
Firefighter spokesman Luca Cari confirmed that one worker remained trapped hours after the initial collapse.
