Sony to Spin Off Israel Chipmaking Activity
Electronics giant Sony has decided to spin off its chip development activity in Israel, which it acquired a decade ago from startup Altair Semiconductor.
The decision will affect around 200 employees and marks a U-turn from establishing a development center in Israel. This move comes after several waves of layoffs, including a recent one a few months ago.
