Located in Cobble Hill, Arbutus Ridge Golf Club is a top choice for golf enthusiasts in the Cowichan Valley. The club has a rich history, dating back to 1984 when the Arbutus Ridge Living Community project was first planned.
The 225-acre site was purchased by Canadian Retirement Corporation Developments in 1986, with the goal of creating a golf course catering to those 55 and older. The course was designed by Bill Robinson of Cornish & Robinson and construction began on March 17, 1987.
The nine-hole course officially opened on May 13, 1988. By the fall of 1988, an additional 52 acres of land had been acquired, further expanding the club's facilities.
The club is still accepting new members, offering a unique opportunity to join a vibrant community of golfers.
