First Bus Honours Military with Free Travel
First Bus is providing free travel for Armed Forces personnel and veterans attending Remembrance events.
The First Bus fleet of 5,700 buses across the UK is enabling Armed Forces personnel, cadets, and veterans to travel for free to events commemorating Remembrance Sunday on November 9 and Armistice Day on November 11.
- Current and former members of the military and cadets can travel for free by showing their Armed Forces ID or wearing their medals or uniform.
- First Bus drivers will observe the two minutes silence at 11am on both days, if safe to do so.
“We have many colleagues who have served in the military or have friends and family connections, so this is always a poignant time of the year.”
A spokesperson for First Bus said this in support of the free travel offer.
