Colin Hilton and Ski Utah Honored for Shaping Utah's Olympic and Ski Legacy
The J. Willard Marriott Library’s Ski and Snow Sports Archives hosted a celebration to pay tribute to two cornerstones of the state’s snow culture: Colin Hilton and Ski Utah.
Colin Hilton, president and CEO of the Utah Olympic Legacy Foundation, received the S. Quinney Award for his career in preserving and expanding Utah’s Olympic legacy.
Ski Utah, which marks 50 years of promoting the state’s resorts and snow, received the History Maker Award for its record of growing and representing Utah’s ski industry.
The Quinney Award is named for Stephen J. Quinney.
Athletes, resort leaders, historians, and winter sports fans gathered at the University of Utah’s Cleone Peterson Eccles Alumni House for the annual Ski Affair.
