Victims of Illegal Demolitions to Seek Justice in Court
Human rights lawyer Femi Falana has vowed that victims of alleged illegal demolitions will head to court to demand justice.
Falana, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), made this known during an interview on The Morning Show aired by Arise News Channel.
"In Abuja, in July this year, Hon. Justice Muazu of the FCT High Court awarded ₦200 million against the FCT authorities for failing to comply with statutory provisions before carrying out demolitions,"
A Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court had in July awarded ₦200 million in damages against the FCT Administration (FCTA) for demolishing properties without due process.
