Recall of Blood Pressure Medication
Over 580,000 bottles of blood pressure medication have been recalled by the FDA due to elevated levels of a potential carcinogenic impurity.
The recalled medication, prazosin hydrochloride, is made by Teva Pharmaceuticals and was found to contain high levels of a byproduct of the manufacturing process.

- 2 mg capsules
- 5 mg capsules
It’s essential to consult your physician before stopping a medication, even if you’re concerned that your bottles are affected.
The affected bottles can be identified by lot number and expiration date, as outlined in the FDA report.
