Google Restricts Wear OS Clock App to Pixel Watches
Google has announced that its Wear OS Clock app will be restricted to Pixel watches.
New Wear OS devices from other manufacturers will have to use alternative clock apps, as the Google Clock app will no longer be available for download on non-Pixel watches.
With your favorite watch brands offering their own default clock apps on Wear OS, Google’s Clock app (alarm, timer, and stopwatch) is no longer available for download on Wear OS smartwatches – except for pre-installed on the Pixel Watch.
Existing non-Pixel watches with the Clock app already installed will continue to work, but without receiving new updates.
