Cabinet Dodging NCC Concerns Over EIA Route
The National Coalition for Caymanians appears to be avoiding concerns over the route of the East-West Arterial (EWA) extension.
The previous UPM government selected route B3, which cuts through the central wetlands, causing damage to mangroves and opening up land for development.
The decision by the previous Cabinet was one of several reasons why Premier André Ebanks and his colleagues resigned from the UPM government.
The premier has indicated that issues relating to the previous Cabinet's choice of route are not a priority.
