Hong Kong Tennis Open: Australia’s Joint eyes another title – and a slam seeding
Ranked 684th in early 2024, Australian teen Maya Joint is on track to be in the top 32 for her home major.
Joint has one eye on a seeded berth at the Australian Open as she looks to continue her march through the Prudential Hong Kong Tennis Open.
After defeating Anastasija Sevastova in a three-setter, Joint had a smoother time against Viktoria Morvayova, progressing in straight sets.

- She needs to maintain her ranking to be seeded for her home slam in January.
"I started off really well [against Morvayova], which was a big focus,"
Joint said, targeting a third title of the year ahead of her quarter-final on Friday.
