Standing in Solidarity with the Indiana Daily Student

The Indiana Daily Student is facing opposition from its own university, with administrators restricting its ability to publish news stories in its homecoming print edition.

The university had already reduced the number of print editions, mainly reserving them for special themes. On the 14th, Indiana's Director of Student Media, Jim Rodenbush, was fired for refusing to comply with the university's order. Shortly after, the university cut print entirely for the Indiana Daily Student.

In a show of support, Purdue University's student paper, The Exponent, printed 3,000 copies of a special edition featuring editorials from the Indiana Daily Student and delivered them to IU's campus on the 17th.
