Democrats Set Deadline for Early 2028 Primary Contests
The Democratic National Committee has started setting up a framework for the party's next presidential primary elections.
A plan was approved by the Rules and Bylaws Committee, giving states until January 16 to submit applications for early voting contests.
- Four or five states will be granted an early slot.
- All four regions (East, Midwest, South, and West) must be represented.
