Officials in Milan are warning residents of a phone scam where individuals are using the police department's phone number to solicit money.
The police department will not call and ask for payment or donations of any kind. Residents are advised to hang up immediately if they receive such a call.
If you have received a suspicious call, you are asked to report it to the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office or Milan City Hall at 660-265-4411.
