Yukon Elections: Voter Turnout Reaches 22.5%
Voter turnout for the Yukon elections has hit 22.5% after advanced polls closed, according to Elections Yukon.
A total of 8,060 eligible electors have cast their votes out of 35,764 registered voters, as of the latest data provided by Elections Yukon.
“We’re still just waiting to see what happens. It can be pretty unpredictable with elections,”
said David Rozsa, training and communications coordinator for the territorial elections office.
- 61 candidates are running for member of the legislative assembly (MLA) in 21 districts.
- Candidates include 1 independent, 18 Yukon Liberal Party, 21 Yukon NDP, and Yukon Party members.
