Cybersecurity Awareness Month

The nefarious tricksters are why October is dedicated as Cybersecurity Awareness Month, to make everyone aware of the tricks that can be wrought by scammers to obtain sensitive information from your computer and ultimately your pocket.
Scammers do their homework and spend hours devising trickery to hack your computer and phone, with some tricks looking legit. However, knowing how to spot illegitimate emails can save yourself lots of time and trouble.
Hackers are so good that they can get into any computer.
A city's cybersecurity expert will speak at the Carson City Chamber luncheon to discuss cybersecurity.
