Jericho Senior Wins National FBLA Journalism Title

Dev Lakhani, a senior at Jericho High School, discovered his entrepreneurial spirit in middle school by selling $2 bills for $5 in the school hallway.

This early curiosity led him to join the Future Business Leaders of America, a national nonprofit that prepares students for careers in business and leadership.

Lakhani earned first place in the journalism event at the FBLA National Leadership Conference, held June 29 to July 2 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, beating out 17,000 competitors.

A story about his win was published in Desi Talks, a weekly newspaper that tracks Indian news in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, on October 16.

His "first taste of entrepreneurship" eventually led him to achieve great success in the journalism event.

Author's summary: Jericho senior Dev Lakhani wins national FBLA title.
