Brodie Kostecki will begin his Bathurst 1000 defense from pole position for the third year in a row. Despite not matching his record-breaking lap from Friday's first qualifying, Kostecki held off Cam Waters by just a tenth of a second to claim the top spot during the top-ten shootout.
The front row was completed by Cam Waters, with Ford drivers occupying the top four positions on the grid. Chaz Mostert and Ryan Wood secured the entire second row for the team.
“It’s just amazing honestly, that in lap was something special seeing all the fans, and getting all the cheers over the fence,” Kostecki said.
“We’re starting off the best possible spot we can, so can’t wait to share the car with Toddy [Hazelwood, co-driver] tomorrow."
Starting from pole gives Kostecki and his co-driver Toddy Hazelwood a strong advantage as they aim to defend their title at the Mountain.
Summary: Brodie Kostecki continues his Bathurst 1000 dominance by securing pole position for the third consecutive year, leading a strong Ford presence on the grid.
