Brotato has announced its first content update since late 2024, titled New Dawn, featuring numerous quality-of-life improvements and six new toys.
A new era is beginning for Brotato as Evil Empire, the studio now helming development, has rolled out its first major content update for the hit roguelite shooter.
Update Details
New Dawn is live now on PC, with console and mobile versions arriving in about a month, marking the first sign of Evil Empire’s long-term plan to unify all platforms by 2026.
The update brings a suite of quality-of-life upgrades, including an entirely new Ban system that lets you block up to eight unwanted items during a run, though weapons remain exempt.
Evil Empire is known for its post-launch support, as seen in games like Dead Cells or The Rogue Prince of Persia.
This same energy is already being felt in Brotato, with the New Dawn update being the first of many to come.
