Derby Destination Now a Straight Head-to-Head
The destination of next year’s English Derby has become a straight shootout between Towcester and Dunstall Park.
The two tracks were confirmed as the only venues to submit an expression of interest prior to this month’s cut-off point.
The GBGB’s Mark Moisley said: “I guess you could say there were no surprises with Mike Davis [Towcester] and Arc [Dunstall Park] both registering their interest.
The two tracks now have until the end of the week to submit their detailed proposals, which will then be assessed by an industry panel.
- The panel will be a broad cross-section of industry stakeholders including trainer and owner representatives.
- Each bid will be considered on its individual merits before a decision is reached and announced.
