Amazon reportedly plans to cut around 30,000 corporate jobs, starting on Tuesday, as part of its largest job reduction since 2023.
The job cuts are expected to affect various sectors, including human resources, devices and services, and operations. This move follows smaller job cuts across different divisions in recent years.
As Amazon continues to implement more AI agents, fewer corporate jobs will be needed, according to a memo from Amazon CEO Andy Jassy.
Amazon hasn’t eliminated this many jobs since 27,000 were cut beginning in late 2022. The company didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
