Food System Innovations Receives $2M Grant
Food System Innovations (FSI), a philanthropic impact platform, has received $2 million from the Bezos Earth Fund.
The grant is part of the AI for Climate and Nature Grand Challenge, which aims to scale artificial intelligence solutions to address environmental challenges.
- FSI is one of fifteen global teams chosen for the grant.
- The platform works to advance sustainable food solutions through programs like NECTAR.
NECTAR has built the world’s largest publicly available database on the sensory performance of plant-based meats and balanced protein products.
By combining NECTAR’s data with molecular flavor databases, the team plans to build an AI model that connects molecular structure, flavor, texture, and consumer preference.
