Teachers Licensing Initiative to Uphold Education Standards
The Botswana Teaching Professionals Councils (BOTEPCO) has launched a teacher registration and licensing initiative, marking a new era of professionalism and excellence in education.
The launch ceremony, themed 'Professionalisation at the core; Transforming Education for Sustainable Development', introduces a structured system to ensure only qualified individuals teach.
"The exercise is meant to elevate the standard of teaching through advanced digitalization, which is why we are professionalising teaching. Today marks an important milestone where teaching will be professionalised,"
said Minister of Child Welfare and Basic Education, Nono Kgafela-Mokoka, highlighting the importance of teacher licensing and registration.
