'Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc' stayed No. 1 at the Korean box office with $1.6 million from 219,686 admissions over Oct. 24–26, taking a 30.1% market share on 932 screens.
According to KOBIS, the tracking service operated by the Korean Film Council, the film has reached $18.9 million since opening on Sept.
The film adapts the “Reze” arc of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s hit manga. Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara with a screenplay by Hiroshi Seko, the movie follows Denji as his encounter with café worker Reze leads to a clash between intimate connection and bloody chaos.
Voice cast includes Reina Ueda, Fairouz Ai, Tomori Kusunoki, and Maaya Uchida. Sony/Crunchyroll are handling distribution in the market.
Japanese psychological horror “The Exit 8” opened in second place with $977,292 from 137,173 admissions (17.8% market share).
