LIIN Catalyses Next Wave of Impact Investment in Sri Lanka
On October 22, 2025, the Lanka Impact Investment Network (LIIN) announced several key initiatives, marking the beginning of a transformative era in Sri Lanka's economy, entrepreneurial ecosystem, and impact investment landscape.
Chandula Abeywickerma, Founder and Chairman of LIIN, introduced the Impact Investment Summit 2026, noting that impact investments and green financing are relatively new concepts in Sri Lanka, whereas developed economies have been prioritizing them for the past 25 years.
Nurturing genuine entrepreneurship in a country depends on the key stakeholders in the investment, banking and finance as well as the public and private sectors to see the bigger picture.
