At the age of three, Shaban was sent to England for specialized medical treatment, where he spent his formative years in hospitals and residential homes. It was during this time that he discovered the power of storytelling, drawing from his Jordanian heritage.
In the late 1970s, Shaban studied at the University of Surrey, further developing his skills and passion for the arts.
