Picasso Portrait Sells for 32 Million Euros
A portrait of Dora Maar, painted by Pablo Picasso in July 1943, has sold for 32 million euros.
The painting, "Bust of a Woman with a Flowered Hat (Dora Maar)", depicts Maar wearing a brightly colored floral hat.
Maar, an artist and photographer, was Picasso's partner and muse for about seven years, but their relationship was coming to an end at the time the portrait was painted.
