Sonia Raman, former New York Liberty assistant coach, has been appointed as the Seattle Storm's next head coach, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
Raman brings a wealth of experience, having coached MIT's women's basketball team for 12 years and serving as an assistant coach for the Memphis Grizzlies for four years.
Most recently, Raman was an assistant coach for the Liberty in 2024 and was a top candidate for head coach positions.
She will now lead the Storm, who finished with the WNBA's 7th-best record last season, as a WNBA head coach for the first time.
