Vikings' Kevin O'Connell assigns blame after 27-point loss to Chargers

Vikings' Coach Assigns Blame After 27-Point Loss

Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell revealed who should shoulder the blame for a 27-point defeat to the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Vikings entered the game at 3-3 and needed a win to regain momentum while awaiting the return of starting quarterback JJ McCarthy, who remains sidelined with an ankle injury.

However, their performance was disappointing, trailing 21-3 at halftime and ultimately falling 37-10.

We got outplayed... There are no excuses — injuries, short week, whatever it is. That is not, in any way, shape, or form, our standard of what we want to put on the field.

Following the loss, head coach Kevin O’Connell took full accountability, making it clear that the defeat wasn’t on the defense or quarterback Carson Wentz — it was on him.

O'Connell stated that the team needs to own the loss and move forward.

Author's summary: Vikings lose to Chargers by 27 points.
