Elena Rybakina Qualifies for WTA Finals
Elena Rybakina has qualified for the WTA Finals after defeating Victoria Mboko in the Pan Pacific Open quarterfinals, winning 6-3, 7-6.
With this victory, Rybakina denied Mirra Andreeva a spot in the year-end tournament, set to take place in early November in Saudi Arabia.
Rybakina's win also earned her revenge against Mboko, two months after losing to her in the Canadian Open semifinals.
Notably, Rybakina's triumph has seen her achieve a feat no other woman has managed this season.
