Vernon Kay and Daughter Phoebe React to Tess Daly's Surprise Strictly Exit
Vernon Kay and his daughter Phoebe have expressed their support for Tess Daly after her unexpected announcement to leave Strictly Come Dancing.
The broadcaster shocked fans on October 23 by revealing her plans to depart the BBC One dance show after 21 years, alongside co-host Claudia Winkleman.
"We have loved working as a duo and hosting Strictly has been an absolute dream. We were always going to leave together and now feels like the right time.
Tess and Claudia shared a joint statement on Instagram, thanking the BBC and the show's team, saying:

- the show's team is "the most brilliant"
Tess has hosted the show since its start in 2004, while Claudia joined after Sir Bruce Forsyth stepped down.
