Sacramento State Men's Soccer Loses to UC Irvine
The Sacramento State men's soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss to UC Irvine at home, despite taking 12 shots and hitting the target only once.
The match took a turn for the worse in the 55th minute at Hornet Field, with the team down three goals to the fifth-ranked University of California, Irvine.
Junior forward Donovan Sessoms attempted to change the momentum with a fast break up the right side of the pitch, receiving a through ball from senior midfielder Hasan Alsakati and sending a scorching kick towards the bottom left corner.
The tense emotion from the crowd could be felt from the ever-present shade and shaking branches that cover the right pitch.
