Aberdeen Tenants Supported with Rent Costs through New Fund

A new fund aimed at supporting Aberdeen City Council tenants through financial difficulty has delivered significant positive outcomes in its pilot year.

The Rent Assistance Fund, launched on 1 April 2024, aims to assist council tenants who may be facing financial hardship and through no fault of their own may be struggling to pay their rent.

“We are committed to supporting our tenants, especially during challenging times. The success of this fund in its pilot year has allowed us to provide essential support and we hope that we can continue to build on this.”

said Councillor Miranda Radley, Convener of the Communities, Housing and Public Protection Committee.
