College student Sandra Bonaventure, 20, had a bright future planned, but her life was cut short in June 2002. She was seven months pregnant and excited to become a mom, but never got the chance.

Her body was found stuffed into a black plastic trash bag in a New York City tunnel. The case continues to haunt investigators decades later.

NYPD homicide detective Brian MacLeod recounted the homicide during an episode of Oxygen's The Death Investigator with Barbara Butcher:
