Luka Dončić after fifth preseason loss: “We need to work on our physicality”
Los Angeles Lakers closed out the preseason with a 1–5 record after a narrow 116–117 defeat to the Sacramento Kings.
Luka Dončić delivered a strong performance with 31 points and nine assists. After the game, he reflected on the team’s form, stating:
“Obviously, practice is different. I think in practice we’re more physical. Like I said, we need to work on our physicality”
He added that there’s still work to be done, especially with LeBron James sidelined due to injury. Dončić noted the need to adapt to different lineups and
“clean up”certain aspects, particularly physicality.
After a 1-5 preseason, Lakers are getting ready for the 2025/26 season.
