A man appeared before Naas District Court after sending two letters to his ex-partner, allegedly breaching a court order.
Garda Shauna Hough informed the court that the defendant was charged on August 21 for the alleged breach. The court was told that one of the letters was sent to the ex-partner while the defendant was in custody for a previous alleged breach.
The letters amounted to an apology or clarification of the issue, according to Solicitor David Powderly.
Judge Miriam Walsh adjourned the matter for a fuller hearing.
The case is ongoing, with the defendant awaiting a further hearing.
